"By nature I'm quite an anxious person and hold it in the body. I'm at night especially when I battle to fall asleep with a mind racing, with all the things to do I will listen to these guided, loving, caring - almost that warm feeling that I could just imagine being in your mother's womb, that safe space that she got me to through yoga nidra, to just really get in touch with my body, almost writing like a love letter to my body again, just just getting in touch with the mind and body...
I just love doing the practice. And I'm truly blessed to her for having introduced me and for guiding me to a mindful healthful and joyous person to serve others."

When Leigh led a relaxation session, it was something I had never actually heard of before or experienced. I have to say that the session is probably one of the most relaxing experiences I've ever been through. And I think that was because Leigh set the tone of the session, so beautifully. The intention, the honesty, the trust is easy to fall into it all. And I have to say that I really thank Leigh for introducing me to the practice - it will probably be better if I hadLeigh's voice on autocue on a tape to soothe me to sleep! But no seriously, it's really been of benefit to my well being, it is still helping me."

"For me it is a way to think back to my self as a whole human being rather than just part. So for me after a really busy day and my brain is weary, it allows me to kind of connect to my whole body or if I've actually had a really physical day and my body's kind of twitching from so much activity. It really helps me connect back to my inner self. Or actually if I haven't done enough stuff and my body's twitching from having not done enough activity. It's just an amazing practice to have that whole body experience and a really very deep relaxation. Leigh is an amazing yoga nidra practitioner. She has the ability to say the right words at the right time that really just allow you to stop thinking and really start connecting to the whole human experience. To allow your whole body to relax. Her voice is amazing and relaxing. And the whole experience well just really allows me especially to be here now really and to enjoy the beauty of being a human being , not just a human doing..."

"I want to express my deep gratitude for so many things actually. The benefits of the retreat was so so very healing, particularly the yoga and the yoga nidra. Just that the state of mind and the state of mindfulness stillness, the release it allowed me to access… it just allowed me to create a different space of gratitude. And even to just release things I've been holding for a long time, which I hadn't quite been able to put down.
It just allowed me to tap into a different state of relaxation - which I don't actually find many other ways. I sometimes find a state of relaxation in movement. And even in sleep and rest that is something about yoga nidra actually, it just puts us in a different place. I think because of just how our mind is lighter of spirit in that moment and just connected to the collective and really aware of our impact on the collective.
My deep, deep gratitude. I really really am so grateful.
It’s a testament to Leigh and Justin and Red Lotus and just the space that they create, and the kind of environment they facilitate which just feels so safe.
I'm still on the journey myself of cultivating that space and sustaining space myself. To say to inspire a different state of peace, a different appreciation of compassion."

"So thank you, Leigh, thank you Justin, for coming to give yoga as part of the retreat to start the day. And in recent times, we've included yoga nidra to end the day. Yoga nidra is really a way of being able to enjoy deep, deep relaxation. And it's really incredibly important because in a world in which we have so many busy lives and busy minds, being able to really relax the self into the body - especially at the end of a long, challenging day - when we've been unaware of it all being challenging, yoga nidra is so powerful. It allows one deep, deep relaxation. So for me, and when running retreats it has been beautiful to be able to also enjoy the yoga nidra session at the end of the day's presentation. Leigh is wonderful at running these yoga nidra sessions that really just allow people to really to settle, be comfortable. And the beauty of yoga nidra is that anybody can do it. You don't need to be excellent at yoga. You just need to be able to just lie down, relax, and be guided through the cognitive process of just being, settling, relaxing.
Connecting just allows people to enjoy a deeper level of real relaxation, which aids sleep which makes healing, which aids rejuvenation. So I just want to say a huge thank you to Red Lotus Retreats, the whole team, and for yoga nidra personally, from benefiting myself and also for the people who've come along on our retreats. And to our sessions and all our online webinars and retreats. Many online retreats too."
